ਲੱਖ ਲਾਲ ਸਲਾਮਾਂ ਨੇ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ
On 9th April 1991, a gang of Khalistani terrorists struck at a cultural programme being held at village Sewewala in Faridkot District of Punjab. 18 people were killed including Megh Raj Bhagtuana, Jagpal Selbrah & Mata Sadan Kaur. Here is a poetic tribute to the martyrs who laid their lives for the peoples' cause:
ਅਣਖੀਲੇ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਬਾਜ਼ ਦਲੇਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ
ਲੱਖ ਲਾਲ ਸਲਾਮਾਂ ਨੇ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ
ਸਤਲੁਜ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਸਾਡੇ ਮੰਡ ਤੇ ਰੋਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ
ਜਦ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਰੋਲੇ ਨੇ, ਚਹੁੰ ਪਾਸਿਓਂ ਘੇਰ ਲਿਆ।
ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਸੀ ਨਰਕ ਬਣੀ, ਹਰ ਬੂਹੇ ਸਿਵਾ ਬਲੇ,
ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਢੇਰ ਲੱਗੇ, ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਨੇਰ੍ਹ ਪਿਆ।
ਉਹ ਜਾਨ ਤਲੀ ਧਰਕੇ, ਇਸ ਜਹਿਰ ਵਰੋਲੇ ਨੂੰ,
ਸ਼ਾਹ ਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਵੰਗਾਰਨ ਆ ਨਿੱਕਲੇ।
ਲੱਖ ਲਾਲ ਸਲਾਮਾਂ ਨੇ, ਐਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ.....
ਚਾਹੇ ਪਾਰੋ (ਪਾਰਬਤੀ) ਕਤਲ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜਾਂ ਕਤਲ ਰੰਧਾਵੇ ਦਾ
ਸੜਕਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਵਹਿ ਤੁਰਿਆ, ਹੜ੍ਹ ਰੋਹ ਦੇ ਲਾਵੇ ਦਾ
ਜਦ ਬੱਸ ਕਿਰਾਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਸੀ,
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੇ, ਤੂਫ਼ਾਨ ਉਠਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਹਰ ਲੋਕ-ਲਹਿਰ ਮੂਹਰੇ, ਹੱਕ-ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਘੋਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ,
ਨਾਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਲ ਮਿਲੀ, ਸੰਗਰਾਮੀ ਬੋਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ,
ਲੱਖ ਲਾਲ ਸਲਾਮਾਂ ਨੇ................
ਐਸ.ਪੀ ਚਾਹੇ ਮਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜਾਂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਰਾਮ ਹੋਵੇ,
ਲੋਕਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਜਦ ਝਪਟੇ, ਇਹ ਹਿੱਕਾਂ ਤਾਣ ਉੱਠੇ।
ਜਦ ਜੋਰ ਸਟੇਨਾਂ ਦੇ, ਫਿਰਕੂ ਬਘਿਆੜਾਂ ਨੇ,
ਸੂਹੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਲੂਹ ਸੁੱਟੇ, ਕੁੱਝ ਲੋਕ-ਗਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ।
ਏ.ਕੇ ਸੰਤਾਲੀ ਦਾ, ਡਰ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਿਆਂ ਸੀ,
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰ 'ਕੱਠੇ, ਦਹਿਸ਼ਤ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨਿਆ ਸੀ
ਲੱਖ ਲਾਲ ਸਲਾਮਾਂ ਨੇ....................
ਕਿਰਤੀ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ, ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ,
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਜੂਝ ਰਹੇ, ਸਿਰਲੱਥ ਜੁਆਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ,
ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵੇਵਾਲਾ ਦੇ, ਖ਼ੂਨੀ ਉਡਵਾਇਰਾਂ ਨੇ,
ਆ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਲੁੱਕ ਛਿਪ ਕੇ ਕਾਇਰਾਂ ਨੇ।
ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਦੇ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸੰਗ ਵਫ਼ਾ ਕਮਾ,
ਸੂਹੇ ਪਰਚਮ ਲਈ, ਗਏ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਘੋਲ ਘੁਮਾ।
ਲੱਖ ਲਾਲ ਸਲਾਮਾਂ ਨੇ...................
ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਵਾਛੜ ਦੇ, ਉਹ ਡਟ ਕੇ ਰਹੇ ਖੜੇ,
ਸੰਗਰਾਮੀ ਪਿਰਤਾਂ ਪਾ, ਉਹ ਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੂਝ ਮਰੇ।
ਇੱਕ ਸੁਰਖ਼ ਸਵੇਰ ਲਈ, ਉਹ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਵਾਰ ਗਏ।
ਕਿਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ, ਰੰਗ ਹੋਰ ਨਿਖਾਰ ਗਏ।
ਜੱਦ ਤੱਕ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ 'ਤੇ, ਜਾਬਰ ਨੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ,
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕ-ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਨੇ, ਜੰਮਦੇ ਹੀ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ।

Long live the memories of the 18 Sewewala martyrs!We can never forget these comrades who dipped their blood in the revolutionary tradition of Com.Bhagat Singh and particularly Co.Megh Raj who valiantly led the Front against repression and Communalism and organised mass revolutionary resistance against the Khalistani fascists.The 1987 July 10th rally at Moga by the Front will never be forgotten in the annals of the movement.The memorial conference rallies too had historic significance and one literally witnessed a red flame burning in the hears of the masses.The martyrs carved out a permanent niche in revolutionary history .Let us all dip our blood in their memory on this day.
